Luke 4:13 Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.
The enemy doesn’t fight fair. He doesn’t come during a mountaintop experience, or when you’re feeling strong in the Lord. Chances are, he probably won’t hit you right after a conference on intercession and spiritual warfare.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
The enemy is NOT a lion, but he does make a lot of noise to intimidate and to make you THINK he’s a lion. He waits until you are at your weakest and most distracted, like when you are tired, hungry, lonely, or in some sort of transition.
We have three days until our repentance service. Be alert. Stay vigilant. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Press into the word, prayer, worship, and most of all His presence. The enemy would love nothing more than to use family, work, or anything else to draw our focus away from the work we are doing and are about to do in the spirit.
This is a day of consecration. We are setting ourselves apart and purifying ourselves from the world so that we may be ready to receive our King and draw a sword upon the enemy. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
