Glory There, Glory Here (February 8, 2026 – DAY 21), P. Trevor Kring

Scripture:
Revelation 21:26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.

John 17:22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one…

Observation:
The last time glory is mentioned in Scripture is in the second to last chapter of Revelation. It tells of a new heaven and earth where there’s no pain, night, or death. There is no need of the sun for the Son shall be its light. It is the fulfilment of Jesus’ prayer in John 17. All the nations receive and reflect the glory of God as they are united perfectly for His purposes. O how I long to see this day!

Application:
This life is practice and a placement test for eternity. Faith in Christ will get you to heaven, but obedience and sacrifice born out of love for Jesus will get you nearer to the throne. We must live for eternity instead of for the here and now. This life is a vapor, but eternity is for… well… eternity. We only have this life to exercise faith – to love the unlovely, to forgive the offender, to be a light in the darkness. Remember what we are fighting for – an eternity with Christ, united in His glory.

Is it any wonder why Paul writes, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory… For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (2 Corinthians 4:17, Romans 8:18).

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I love You. Thank You for today. Help me to walk in forgiveness and mercy. Help me to grow in Your love – to love You and others more, by Your grace. I want to experience Your glory in this life and in the next. Give me eyes to see what You are doing in the world and help me to submit myself to what You are doing in  and through my life. All power, glory, and dominion are Yours forever, amen!
